FAQ
How can we help?
Straight answers to the things firms ask before working with us. If yours is not here, we are one message away.
Most asked questions
How do you charge, and what will it cost?
zedders works on fixed fees, quoted before any work starts, so you know the price up front. Scoping, build, training and any ongoing support are each a fixed price against defined deliverables. For a build, we show you the time it should give back as the case for doing it, but the invoice stays fixed, so the savings are yours. What it costs depends on the size of your firm and how many systems are involved, which is what scoping settles.
Does this integrate with our current DMS and PMS?
Usually, yes. Most of the value comes from making the tools you already have work together, not replacing them, so automation can sit on top of your existing email, practice-management system, and document storage. Some systems connect cleanly and others need workarounds. Scoping establishes what is feasible before you commit to anything.
Is it even safe to put privileged client information into AI?
Into a public tool like consumer ChatGPT, no. It can expose confidential material and put privilege at risk, and the law society's guidance is explicit against it. The safe paths are AI with proper contractual protection and data isolation, or models that run on infrastructure the firm controls. zedders designs confidentiality in from the start rather than bolting it on later.
We're a small firm. Are we too small for this?
No. Small and solo firms are adopting automation faster than large ones, and often see the quickest return, because the pain is felt directly and nothing slows a decision down. zedders is built for small and mid-sized law firms, so the scope and price fit a practice your size rather than being scaled down from an enterprise product.
